Nationwide Shipping

Orders will ship out Monday through Thursday only. Orders made after noon on Thursday will ship the next Monday except for order that require overnight shipping. Please double-check your shipping address as we cannot guarantee orders for an incorrect address. We cannot ship to PO boxes.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

We do not offer returns and exchanges because our products are made to order.

Shipping Delays

Please note that UPS delivery issues, such as weather or pandemic-related delays, are beyond our control. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for missed delivery dates due to these circumstances. Thank you for your understanding!

Do you ship all of your products?

We ship most products except our assorted trays and larger cookie cakes. If you have questions about a specific product, please email us at info@sweetthingshop.com

When will my order arrive?

To ensure that we offer you the best, freshest, yummiest treats, we bake all of our treats fresh when ordered. We prefer 48 hours notice but we understand things come up so we do our best to meet your timing needs. Please reach out to info@sweetthingshop.com if you need an order produced in less than 48 hours.

If shipping, please place an order with enough time for us to process, make, bake, and pack your order and allow time for shipping via UPS which can take 1-5 business days depending on the location.

When should I order if I want my treats to arrive on a specific date?

Please place your order as soon as possible to ensure timely delivery, and choose the appropriate shipping method at checkout (UPS Ground, 2-Day, or Overnight). While we can't control UPS or the weather, we're happy to share that packages almost always arrive on time.

Can I ship the same order to multiple addresses?

If you’re looking to send multiple personal or corporate gifts, please reach out to us at info@sweetthingshop.com. We’ll be happy to assist you with the entire process!

Can I track my order once it ships?

Yes, you should receive a confirmation email with a tracking number if you order from sweetthingshop.com. If we handle your order offline, we’ll be happy to provide tracking numbers upon request.

Local Delivery & Pickup

Our commercial facility and pick up address is 3324 Commercial Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062. We offer daily pickup from our kitchen Monday through Saturday for preorders only. Typically, pickup is available between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM, but we will email you to confirm the exact timing.

Are you open for walkins?

We do not accept walk-in orders at this time. We ask that you preorder before stopping by. We can fill most last-minute orders depending on what they are but you must contact us first at info@sweetthingshop.com. If possible, we prefer 48 -72 hours lead time.

How much notice do you need for a pickup or local delivery order?

We appreciate 48-72 hours notice for pickup and local delivery orders. Please give us at least a week for custom orders.

Is there a local delivery fee?

Delivery fees apply, so please select the appropriate delivery option at checkout. Fees will vary based on distance.

Products

Sweet Thing products are all handmade and baked to order. Products are best when received and consumed. All products can be placed in the freezer for up to 6 months. Please let the product defrost for at least 2 hours for optimal freshness and taste.

Can I make changes to the order after it's been placed?

If we have already processed your order, we won’t be able to accommodate changes. However, if the order has not yet been processed, we’ll be happy to make adjustments.

Are sweet thing products nut free?

Most of our products are nut-free; however, they are produced in a facility where nuts may be present. Please note that Sweet Thing is not a certified nut-free facility.

Do you have any gluten free products?

Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee a completely gluten-free environment since we don’t bake in a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, and there’s a chance of cross-contact. We’re looking into creating a separate gluten-free area and will keep you posted on any updates.

Are your products kosher?

Our facility is not certified kosher. However, we do offer some products for Jewish holidays that contain all kosher ingredients.

Do you sell plant based products?

At this time we do not offer any plant-based products. However, we are always open to new ideas!

Where can I find nutritional and allergen information?

All of our products have ingredient lists and allergens available online. For additional nutritional or allergen information, please email us at info@sweetthingshop.com.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes, please refer to our wholesale page for more information or email us at info@sweetshingshop.com.

Where else are your products sold?

We sell our products online and we have several retail partners. Please refer to our wholesale locations section on our site to see where you can find us.

Our products can usually be found in the bakery section of our grocery partners but are typically displayed at or by the registers for our food service partners. 

How big are your cookies and bars?

The cookies are 4+ ounces and the bars 6+ ounces.

Can I heat Sweet Thing products?

Please feel free to heat the cookies, bars, bites, and seasonal cookie pies for an ooey gooey experience at 350 for 5-8 mins in an oven or 15-30 sec on high in a microwave. Heated cookies and bars are amazing alone or with a scoop of ice cream!

Can I customize my order?

We offer customization for some of our products. If you’re interested in color or packaging options, please email us at info@sweetthingshop.com.

How much notice do you need for a party or event?

For parties & events and custom orders, we appreciate receiving at least a week's notice if possible.

Do you ship for parties or events?

We ship custom party favors nationwide. To place an order, please contact us via our form on the Parties & Events page or email us at info@sweetthingshop.com.

Can you print custom logos for the jars and/or party favors?

Absolutely! Just send your PDF or JPEG file to info@sweetthingshop.com, and we'll take care of the rest!

Corporate Gifting

How do I place a corporate gifting or bulk order?

Can I include a note with my gift?

We’re happy to include a short note with your gift!

How can I customize my corporate order?

We are happy to incorporate branding and logos on the products, tins, and boxes for a nominal upcharge. Please send your branding or logos to info@sweetthingshop.com.

Is there order minimum for corporate gifts & bulk orders?

There is no MOQ for gifts.

How does shipping & delivery for corporate orders work?

We’re happy to handle your addresses for corporate gifting. Please email us at info@sweetthingshop.com with any questions about how your list should be formatted.

Can I pick up my corporate orders at your location?

Yes! We can have your gifts ready for pickup from our commercial facility on your selected date. We will reach out to set up and confirm a pickup time beforehand.
